A standard California auto insurance policy provided $250,000 limit on coverage for injury to each person. The policy explained the limit as follows: “The bodily injury liability limits for each person is the maximum we will pay as damages for bodily injury, including damages for care and loss of service, to one person per occurrence.” The “to one person” phrase modifies bodily injury, not pay as damages. So the limit applies to any damages, including loss of consortium damages, flowing from a bodily injury to a single person.
