Larry Telford is a Member of Severson & Werson, specializing in commercial and industrial real estate financing, sale, and leasing.
As the senior member of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, Mr. Telford specializes in negotiation, documentation and closing of construction and mortgage loans for lenders, developers, investors, owner users and tenants of commercial and industrial real estate, and negotiation, documentation and closing of commercial and industrial real estate sale and lease transactions on behalf of sellers, purchasers, landlords and tenants, and representation of financial institutions in restructuring troubled real estate loans and exercise of creditor’s remedies.
Mr. Telford has represented developers and sellers of industrial and office parks, high rise office buildings, and multi-building corporate campuses, landlords and tenants in high end retail free-standing and shopping center settings, banks and other lenders providing construction and mortgage financing in the automotive industry, and owners/operators of private schools in purchase, construction and leasing of educational facilities.
Before joining Severson and Werson, Mr. Telford was General Counsel of Santa Fe Pacific Realty Corporation 1985 – 1989, General Counsel of Southern Pacific Land Company 1983 – 1985; General Attorney in the Law Department of Southern Pacific Company 1970 – 1982 responsible for the legal affairs of the Company’s industrial and commercial real estate development, sales and leasing, and natural resource activities, and from 1966 – 1970 represented the Company and its subsidiary rail carriers before the Interstate Commerce Commission, the California Public Utilities Commission and the Arizona Public Service Commission in various regulatory proceedings.
Mr. Telford has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, is a Member of the Real Estate Section of the California Bar Association, and maintains memberships in the San Francisco Bar Association and the Urban Land Institute.
